2009 Boyz-E Invitational

We all had a great time in Boise this year. Thanks to the Planning Committee for putting together a great weekend and golf tournament. Mike was so proud to have won the mustard jacket that he even had to wear it at the movie theater. Thanks to Scott for serving up some delicious Snickel's Deli.

Falconry Show

The Air Force came to Brandon's Cub Scouts yesterday. They had an F-16 pilot bring his gear and talk about how cool it is to fly in and F-16. The highlight was supposed to be the Falconry show. A Air Force officer brought a falcon that all the boys could see, but we were all disappointed that he didn't even fly the bird. He said it was just a 'show bird' and that he couldn't fly it for us. At any rate, the kids did have a good time and it was cool to have them come and do the show for everyone. The Daily Herald was there and took this video of it :

Snowy Day

I took these pictures today. The snowy pictures were taken around 8:30am and then I took the others just 4 hours later! I can't believe we woke up to this much snow today, but as you can see it is mostly melted now. BEFORE

Blue and Gold Banquet

At the Blue and Gold Banquet Brandon got a patch for visiting an Indian museum. His whole troop got them.

We made a cake to take. Brandon had fun painting and drawing the clothespins. A lot of people brought cakes. Most people didn't decorate theirs too much. I think that ours was second best. The following picture was the coolest cake there.

Ethan's Busy Day

Ethan worked hard today. He wants to buy Super Monkey Ball. He does not have enough money, so he did all of his jobs today. They great part was that he never complained once and he kept asking me what else he could do. He did a lot for me, but he also had a lot of time to play. He played with my mii and won the Lightning Cup for me on Mario Kart.

I was walking by his room tonight and I found him building this high tower. He had a good day.

Random Pictures

All packed up in the car ready to go to FHE at the Keele's.

We have not played the Wii in a long time. Grant and I decided to bowl. We let Krista and Alex play with us. Krista could play on her own. She actually did great. She got a 140. Alex couldn't do it, but of course he wanted to. We gave him a remote that didn't work. He thought that he was playing, but Grant would bowl for him. We all had a great time.

Krista and Alex had a lot of fun coloring today.

These are some cute crayons that Becca and her family gave to Krista and Alex for their birthdays.

Good Bread

Tonight I went to a bread class. It was a small group enrichment. This bread was super easy to make and it is very good. I have tried other bread recipes and I think that this one is my favorite so far.

Funny Face

Alex is funny whenever I take a picture of him. He knows that the flash is going to go off, so most of the time he won't even look at the camera or else he squints his eyes. This time he just made a goofy face.

Krista's Birthday

Krista had a good birthday. She got a lot of fun things. She wanted these legos and she had fun playing with them. Brandon helped her make all of the things that you see on the box. I think that she had a really fun day.

All of the kids had fun with these snap beads that Mamie and Grandfather gave to Krista.

Krista loves this stroller that she got from one of her cousins.

Sleepy Heads

When I went in to check on the girls last night before I went to sleep, this is what I found. I thought that it was so cute. Daniela is so good to Krista and so patient with her.

Valentine's Day

Grant and I said that we were not going to get each other anything for Valentine's Day. He surprised me this morning with some flowers. It was very nice of him. We were gone a lot of the day and when we got home we found some valentines on our doorstep. It was so nice the kids loved it.

Alex's Birthday

It was Alex's birthday today. I think that he had a good day. It is so hard to tell with a two year old. If you ask him how old he is he will tell you two. We practiced that a lot today. He enjoyed his presents. He got this bed set from Mamie and Grandfather. I hope that it gets him excited enough to sleep in his own bed.

We got Alex a basketball hoop. It only took him about thirty shots before he made his first basket. He played for quite a while. By the end he was making them more often. Krista was good to him all day. She was nicer to Alex and shared better with him today. I just reminded her that it was his birthday. She enjoyed his presents also. She wanted to be right there with him in his pictures.

Ready For School

Ethan laid his clothes out for school the next day. I think that Daniela was the one who originally did this a while ago. I think that it is so funny.

Valentine's Day

Brandon had to decorate a bag or box to take to school for his Valentine's party. This is what we came up with.

Becca and Sarah came over two days in a row and we made these Valentine cookie bouquets for the kids' teachers. I think that they came out very cute.
